Architectural Concept
The first architectural concept has been completed. It offers an early vision of how the existing building may be adapted into a welcoming, accessible Islamic centre.

Building a stronger Ummah
Baitul Mukarram Islamic Society (BMIS) is a non-profit registered Muslim charitable organization providing a range of social services to the local community in British Columbia.
Beyond prayer and outreach services, we offer voluntary teaching and learning of basic Islamic education, including recitation of the Holy Quran for all ages with Tajweed and understanding its meaning.
Alhamdulillah, we have begun our journey to establish a central mosque in the heart of Burnaby to serve the growing Muslim community in the Greater Lower Mainland. With the acquisition of a strategically located property, we are working toward a comprehensive Islamic centre and mosque that will be a beacon of faith and community service.
